Non-profit scientific association, founded in 1999 under the name of Grupo Español de Investigación en Cáncer de Cáncer de Ovario, name updated in 2023 to Grupo Español de Investigación en Cáncer de Ginecológico to make it more in line with the activity we perform.
We are the leading group in Spain in clinical and translational research in gynecological cancer.

With a plural and multidisciplinary spirit, GEICO is made up of more than 400 specialists dedicated to the treatment and research of gynecologic oncology, such as medical oncologists, gynecologists, pathologists and molecular biologists, distributed among more than 140 hospitals in Spain.

Vision
To be a reference both in Spain and internationally in clinical and translational research in gynecological cancer. Both for health professionals and for patients and families, thanks to training and scientific dissemination.
Mission
RESEARCH: We promote research in the field of gynecological tumors by coordinating clinical studies at all stages.
TRAINING: We promote medical education in gynecological cancer through the organization of scientific meetings, congresses and courses.
DISCLOSURE: We support the patient community by developing different actions to disseminate and raise awareness of these pathologies.
